This is an exciting time at Be RT! We are building collaborative relationships and accepting new clients. This week we supported the Canadian Mental Health Association with building and designing youth groups for positive mental health. We were inspired by vision and connection at Saugeen First Nations. Benson helped clients scale and descend rock and ice around Jones Falls and celebrated success at the winter camp fire. Anxiety and depression are challenging to cope with but the sense of accomplishment of being physically active in the outdoors was certainly a step in the right direction this week. We also focused on holiday planning and finding balance through recreation. If you find yourself feeling lonely this holiday season we encourage you to consider volunteerism. Volunteering can help people to accept their feelings of loneliness rather than the rumination that can occur when trying to push feelings away. We challenge you to mindfully engage in your strengths and interests this holiday season!
